The one where Sister Wankier gets a new COMPπŸ₯³πŸ™‰πŸ€―😭🀩

 Hey y'all it's been a rollarcoaster of a week lol πŸ˜‡

So this week was transfer week!! So sadly we had to pack up Sister Radford and say some goodbyes to some of the members on Monday night. We said goodbye to our district on Monday.. kinda.. haha just Sister Radford and Elder Watt were changing in the district. So we said those goodbyes and had people sign our stuff. And play some more skull king!!!

A moment of silence for Elder Watt and Sister Radford please πŸ˜πŸ˜ΆπŸ˜Ά

Once we finished talking with everyone we went to visit a family in the whetstone ward because they have a house of snakes apparently. And they weren't wrong there was so many different animals and reptiles ALL OVER!! It was awesome. We held all kinds of snakes. We met lightning the king of all things haha he was the main character of the house.

Psa when you see me with the snake im only laughing haha not screaming haha

And than we went and said goodbye to some of the other awesome families in the ward. And than came home and packed up the last of Sister Radfords things.

Tuesday morning came :(( and sister radford signed some random things in the apartment haha and we were on our way. The best stop was Fiiz on the way to the transfer spot. Haha it was literally SO GOOD!!! Shout out Mike for the best gift card around!!! Than we said our goodbyes took some pictures and of course I had to do the little big pose with my mom out here lol you can take the sorority girl out of the sorority but not the sorority out of her hahaha than Sister Teerlink and I were on our way to the apartment and Towne LakeπŸ₯³πŸ₯³

This week has been kinda slow with missionary work haha but we met a few new people. Talked with a ton of people at the boardwalk. And met quite a few inactive members. We even had one at the church for stake conference. We are going to meet him later this week for some time with the bishop. We are hyped. So proud of him. Also we had the Brady bunch at stake conference with Sister hart. I am so proud of her. Her testimony is so strong its amazing.

The most exciting news of the week comes from King and Sally though. King is sadly still thinking about what date for his baptism but he is now reading the Book of Mormon with his friends!! So we are so hyped for him and his journey. We Are excited to see him this week!!

Sally came to our relief society activity with a member named rosemary and made a ton of new friendships. She was amazing. Sister alba had the most awesome lesson on family history and we enjoyed some tacos and fun questions on how to get to know people better. I know for sure I will be using these questions with my family haha it was an awesome lesson and she thanked us for it so maybe she will be willing to come to all the other fun activities we have πŸ€ πŸ€  kinda awesome!!!

We are super excited for what this week holds!! And I cannot express how much love I have for every single member of this ward. Cannot wait to see what comes from the next 6 weeks!!

Send me life updates. What are y'all up too??

I love y'all!! Have an awesome week

Awkward p.p.p.s haha we are still getting use to the new living arrangement and so my companion did the dishes without leaving me any utensils for breakfast haha so I ate my cereal with a 3/4 of a cup haha gotta love it πŸ€·πŸΌ‍♀️🀷🏼‍♀️🀦🏼‍♀️🀦🏼‍♀️

The one where Sister Wankier eats a Greenie breakfastπŸ₯‘ and Zone Conference🀠

 Morning y'all

PSA this will be the longest email yet!! A LOT just happened!!

Well to start I'm 2 months and 2 days done as a missionary lol which seems so small but feels so big to me πŸ˜± and went by in the blink of an eye!!! We celebrated by eating with the Garza family for dinner at the most AMAZING steak house EVER!! They are the best family ever.

WE HAD A LEMONADE STAND!! IT WAS AWESOME!! Kinda hilarious but so so much fun!! We did it with the whetstone elders and actually met a ton of people!! We want to do it again sometime soon when we have more timeπŸ₯°πŸ₯°

We held Elder Watts funeral this week. Lol RIP to my first district leader!! Can't wait to see him married in 6 months lol!! It was so fun we all had like a open mic for final words after his companion gave the eulogy!! And we each got up and said a funny moment and a meaningful thank you and it was awesomeπŸ˜‡ than we ate crumbl πŸͺπŸͺ

We volunteered at a new place down in another zone in Cypress called Cam and we LOVED volunteering there with the zone leaders. It was A LOT cleaner than our other service place haha but it was awesome you help families out that don't have enough food. And they take all these donations from everywhere and organize them into like a grocery store. And so me and Sister Radford got to like help them grocery shop down the aisle. They have a maximum of what they can have but it was a ton by the end. And all the volunteers there were so cute they would just give more every single time it was amazing. Than once they are done shopping we weigh it and than bag it and send them home with a HUGE amount of groceries, it's about a months worth!!

We have the best ward I cannot lie haha so back to the subject line. A greenie breakfast is when the Keyser's in the ward invite you over and almost break the greenie (me) haha that's kinda dramatic but whatever. In other words this is suppose to get the greenie out of their shell and make sure they talk and don't close up and are out going haha it's suppose to happen the first week you arrive but i fooled them into thinking i am not a greenie haha actually i have fooled the whole ward. I love when they ask me "How long have you been out" and i say 2 months and they say NOOO you can't be and im like jokes on you im still training lol anyways the greenie breakfast is a whole breakfast OF GREEN!! GREEN WAFFLES, ORANGE JUICE, MILK, WHIPPED CREAM, SYRUP, EGGS, and BACON!!!! the green bacon was simply beyond impressive!!!! But it was an awesome green breakfast made me laugh quite a but :))

Okay before u talk about zone conference i have to tell you I was tricked unto being conductor lol and it was terrifying haha thats all πŸ€£πŸ€£

This week was awesome in so many ways. The most important one being Kyrie and Koko's decision to be baptized. They stood tall in knowing this is the true church and confronted their dad and than recieved the approval for their baptism. They will be baptized on October 22, 2022 and I cannot be more excited for their family than now. Sister Hart is so proud and so excited it was the most emotional and exciting experience on the mission yet. After our discussion on the dates. Sister Radford and I were about to leave and Kyrie came running up to us and said we were the missionaries she was waiting for.😭😭😭😭😭 tears literal tears!! So happy for them!!!

This week was my first Zone Conference!!! We combined with all the missionaries in the Cypress Zones!! So Cypress and Houston West (us) and Bridgeland. Had car checks and lots of training and some authentic Mexican food from Hermana Barolla (who is an icon I need to tell you more later) and than finished with training from our stake president. WHICH GUESS WHAT!! THIS MAN WORKS FOR THE FBI like NO CAP!! kinda lit haha Anyways zone conference was amazing. We got to hear from all the wonderful senior missionaries!! They are like the grandparents of the mission!! It's amazing they just adopt you in!! Sister Frary's training was one of my favorites. She talked about how to love one another and what difference that makes as a missionary!! We had the first councilor in our missionary presidency speak and talk about the elect and how to find them and how to let those not ready roll off your back because another missionary will come and pick it up later. It was really hard for me to hear because I DONT LIKE DROPPING PEOPLE!! AND I HATE NO'S sometimes they feel personal haha which can be hard :(( but it's okay I'm getting MUCH better than when I started. We than had some training from one of our AP's who told us we have all kinds of Spanish learning resources coming. And that we can learn spanish if we try and put in the effort and seek the lords help. Finally Hermana Barolla spoke on how thankful she is for missionaries. (simply a queenπŸ‘ΈπŸΌI love herπŸ’—) and how we have a divine work to be done. And we can do it. Finally President Barolla stood and spoke on how to not fear and trust the lord!!

Which was much fitting because right before zone conference started I literally was told my trainer was leaving me πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜ he said he was praying about it but it seems like it was set in stone for Sister Radford. So it felt like the whole Zone Conference was dedicated to me. President Barollas remarks were awesome. Reminding us to listen to the lord and his love and guidance and support. And than he dropped the atomic bomb onto the whole Texas Houston Mission.

Everyone... EVERYONE!! In this mission will start learning Spanish today and be sent to a Spanish area in the future. YA HEAR THAT IM GOING SPANISH!! I AM NOW HERMANA WANKIER!! Haha don't worry I'm not a hermana yet I just learned to say that correctly lol so I have a long journey. But for now I'm utilizing all the tools I have and taking Spanish head on. But don't worry Sister Radford and I will be doing 30 minutes language study everyday for ASL still over zoom i'm not going home without being fluent haha. So my trilingual joke before will be 100% true now haha.

Long long long story short. I love this mission!! My Mission president is an inspired man and him and his wife and truly changing so many lives out here. Including mineπŸ₯° All the senior missionaries are the best step grandparents I could ask for (don't worry grandma and gramps and Nana and bompa they don't come close to you haha but they will work for now) our fellow missionaries are amazing!! And this work is the best thing to ever happen to me.

Church this Sunday after everything was a tough one. Sister Radford and I were quite emotional. We walked in and multiple people who were on vacation went out of their way to wave to us :(( Sister Garza sat with us. Sister hart gave us the best MOM hug yet. And Brother McArther threatened to storm presidents office today if he was going to move either of us. You can really feel this wards growing love for us. Especially Sister Radford she took a missionary struggling ward and make it so our meal calander is being fought over. I truly look up to her like crazy. Church was emotional thinking about either of us leaving. Sunday was the news of transfers we recieve them pretty late like 10 ish but everyone was quite invested. Which means the world to me. I wanted to be this missionary and now I got to see the best example of one in Sister Radford.

We received transfer news and I will be staying in Towne Lake with a new trainer coming in. And Sister Radford is headed back to the deaf branch πŸ˜πŸ˜ it's a funny feeling. I know it will work out.. Hopefully. But it still is so hard to loose a new best friend (for now lol im dramatic haha) It was a good and long Sunday night haha we got calls from all our zone asking where we are going and who is coming in! Our district is the same but my new trainer and Elder Giles as well. Sister Radford and I laughed and talked about all kinds of funny memories before we went to bed. We started packing up some of her decorations and it feels like moving out of college all over again. It will be an exciting new adventure. Send prayers lol

I love and miss you guys like crazy!!! πŸ€ πŸ€ πŸ€ŽπŸ€Ž I am SO hyped for this new adventure kinda.. I'm getting there.. I'm going to keep telling myself until I believe it!!

Send fun life updatesπŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Sister Wankier πŸ€ŽπŸ€ŽπŸ€ŽπŸ€Ž

P.s. so awkward I forgot to explain my love for Hermana Barolla. She came and sat next to me in our end training and once we finished she said my hair is gorgeous and where i go to get it done. I said sadly the girl who does my hair THE QUEEN HERSELF. ELLIE ENGLAND is in Utah :(( so I haven't gotten my hair done yet here and she said you tell her when I find a place because she loves my hair ANYWAYS I love her with everything in me she knew the way to my heartπŸ₯°πŸ₯°

P.P.S you need your hair done go to Ellie she is the literal best!! I'll send the details if needed πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
