The one where Sister Wankier finds buccees 🦫🥤

 HAPPY MONDAY Y'ALL 

i seriously cannot believe it's pday again!! the weeks are going by so fast and the days are SO long haha 

the past 2 weeks but especially the last week I have found myself at buccees any second I can!! haha its my emotional support gas station i guess 

while in the top of our area this week trying to visit our friend patty and some members of the ward who who have been MIA we needed a quick soda or treat and so I pull up the closet gas station and guess what comes up BUCCEES!!!!!!! 

so of course being smart about miles and time we obviously go to buccees and I get our usuals!!! for me it's a large Dr. Pepper, salt and vinegar buccees chips and 2 salted carmals haha !! it's essential as a hard working missionary lol !! 

we happen to do this almost every day this week haha no cap I would need to use the restroom or we were hungry and than there we would go BUCCEES!!!! well I have to preface it's only baby bucees so it's not as intense as the Costco sized buccees it's like a maverick sized buccees and it's heaven in a handbag!! 

 

the best line of the week was when I needed to use to the restroom after a long lesson. I told sister owens and she said perfect while you get us there I will text the people who texted us. we then get to OF COURSE the closest gas station!! our baby buccees and sister owens looks up and goes "HOW DID WE GET HERE" haha I then say "are you surprised haha" she then tells me she cannot get another soda and I say period get a water so we go in and there is a FANTASTIC member from our neighboring ward and he says I need to get you something so we then get small drinks he than proceeds to tell us that's not a buccees drink haha so we leave with chips, sour balls, and of course an XL Dr. Pepper!! he is the coolest member ever!! major blessings to him for this adorable little treat!! 

don't worry y'all we did a lot more missionary work than it sounds haha the bucees trips just top the week off with a DELICIOUS bucees cherry sour ball haha we had some amazing lessons with our besties Jasmine and some members we had come along. we loved having Sister Bennett and her daughter they killed the lesson on the plan of salvation. Madeline (the daughter) prayed and found an adorable scripture to share in Hebrews all on her own. it was seriously touching how amazing these youth are out here. it's a blessed to work with them. 

we also had AN AMAZING exchange with granny j haha Sister johnson and I had seriously SUCH A FUN TIME!! we had some amazing lessons and dinner with missie our adorable wife to a recent convert :) we then spent a lot of time talking about ways we can help this area improve. we have already seen so many miracles and I don't want them to stop haha!! so we had some really good ideas to help some of the people we love!! we got up Saturday morning after the exchange and Sister Johnsons dad runs marathon!! shout out Evan and Timmy for helping us love running haha so we decided to go on a light jog outside and we chatted for the whole 30 minutes no stopping just running and it was seriously a heaven sent miracle!! I needed it so badly!! it was the best thing ever!! 

we then parted our ways and me and sister owens took Brad (our car) to get a tune up haha and take a minute to relax haha from this long week. than Sunday came and we had some awesome lessons and discussions with our adorable members!! and friends!! and a call from Sister Comeau asking me to be on the social media committee!!! so YAY new adventures await haha!! I will be helping run the come unto christ page for the texas houston mission :)) so GO FOLLOW COME UNTO CHRIST IN TEXAS IF YOU ARENT!! 

to sum up this week!! Heavenly Father knows I need good large bucees dr. pepper haha and a running bubby!! and a new challenge to take on haha

oh p.s there was a tornado warning in texas on Saturday haha it made me feel like I was in kentucky all over again lol don't worry we hid in the closet and I wore my missionary tag for safety haha

 happy pday y'all 

well I've missed more weeks again haha that's my bad!! just seem to be having too much fun!! 

the past few weeks we have had some really profound lessons. my life has been ultimately changed because of some of these adorable friends. our lessons have been so much fun and so spirit filled it's such a good feeling to get to have the spirit of God so present in the room. 

we have had SOME CRAZY good meals!! amazing steak homemade tamales!! the best burrito EVER  !! and some of the best desserts!! 

this week we got transfer news. me and sister owens get to stay together for another 6 weeks here in cypress. and we got a car haha i am offically back to Brad (our car) and off the bike BUT no fear me and Josh (my bike) will bike again!! haha can't keep us apart for long!! 

Christmas was awesome!! we had the best time playing games at our favorite families house. and had the best steak and Santa popped into their home for us!! they got me a pink Book of Mormon and sister owens a general conference journal edition. it was awesome little presents!! they are THE BEST!! before dinner we sang in the ward choir and that was a very enjoyable time haha we than opened presents with the stls and loved watching each other get their presents. I got a BIG BLANKET haha it's been the perfect addition to my already over packed life haha and a stanley!! haha that was the best present for sure!! sorry this is jumping but once we finished our steak dinner with taco-goat-cat-cheese-pizza haha we had a blast i will show you the pictrues here soon haha we than went to another dinner at Maggie's home!! she invited us and we got to have some very sweet chats with her and her sister and her daughter!! it was a very good time with them. bucho was THE BEST he is the sweetest little grandpa out here. he told me I will forever be apart of their family. our Christmas card is hanging in their room!! it's THE CUTEST little family ever!! 

for new years eve we ended back up at the fears house. we played color brain which is MY FAV GAME!! and a funny spy game. we had a blast with then and coming home early haha it's literally a firework show in texas on New years haha everyone is lighting fireworks starting at 6pm and ending at 2 am. it's crazy awesome!! we ended up sitting on the porch watching them. we also called our adorable stls. haha they are literally the best!! we talked for awhile. we than staying up Journaling and doing puzzles tell midnight and than once it said 12 we said a happy new years to each other. said our prayers and were OUT haha new years day we ended up at Sylvia's home celebrating with some sparking cider!! fun games!! and some dinner!! 

in between Christmas and new years we had a grind of a week. we have invited Cai to be baptized!! blaire to be baptized!! and Cheryl to be baptized!! each one eagerly accepted!! THEY ARE AMAZING!! we are also spending a great deal of time with our members which is exciting. we are meeting some members who have almost gotten lost down the cracks and it's been really cool to be led by the spirit to find them

I love y'all!! I'm so very thankful for all y'all have done to make 2022 one of the best years of my life. thank you for the support and texts and messages and comments!! y'all truly are incredible. i miss y'all and can't wait to see y'all in 2023
