The one where Sister Wankier dances in the rain🐫☔️☔️

 HEYYYY

Happy weekly check up haha this week has gone by even faster than last week. I definetly think it's because transfers is in 8 days haha it's almost been 6 weeks in the field!! It's crazy!! It really doesn't feel like that at all haha maybe others feel it though for me πŸ€·πŸΌ‍♀️ let me know lol

Hmm okay this week!!! ☔️πŸ€ŸπŸΌπŸ€ πŸ˜±πŸ’Ÿ❤️‍🩹🩹

We saw some miracles this week!! I finally met Marty. She is the grandma to an active family. She isn't too interested in joining but is really interested in being a good example to her grandkids. They call her gege haha kinda lit. She is literally so amazing. She talked to us at church and offered to take us to breakfast to FIRST WATCH❤️‍πŸ”₯❤️‍πŸ”₯❤️‍πŸ”₯ I have been telling sister radford we are going to have to save up for it and go haha because it's literally my favorite thing ever and there are 2 in our area haha and she didn't know and offered to take us and hear an uplifting message!! So YAY!! Kinda personal miracle but still, kinda awesomeπŸ₯° looking forward to some breakfast this week :))

We had a HUGE rainstorm this week it was CRAZY!! BUT also a major miracle. 1 houston isn't in a drought anymore so all the boats are out and about again. And 2 me and sister radford got the closest we could get to swimming in this storm haha we were fully immersed in SO MUCH WATER!! IT WAS SO AWESOME. It actually came on a day where we were randomly in the dump and didn't know why. We were both just meh. We tried to get out of it but we were just kinda sad. A lot of things fell through and Satan was working double time on us. But than as we went to go knock a neighborhood, with an awesome name, cowboy creek haha, we saw a ton of rain clouds and a small storm but that's been happening for months in Houston so we thought it was going to pass. By the time we got to the neighborhood the roads were flooding!!!!!! It was SO CRAZY!! We tried to wait it out and than inevitably knew it was a real storm and we should dance in the rain haha. So we took some pictures and enjoyed the rain and danced and laughed!!! It was amazing!! Once we started dancing it was like all that funk went away. It was much needed. Literally worries washed away!!

The garza family took us out to eat again and it was SO GOOD!!!! THE BEST TEX MEX EVER!! and the desserts were all looking SOOO good and they told us if they can't decide they will simply just get all the desserts hahahah it was mind blowing. Simply my jaw dropped😱 this family of 14 is something else haha you just gotta love em. After desserts though we tried their tres leches and they said it isn't good enough and so we are going to have to get you the best one in houston. And sure enough there was a cake for us to pick up on saturday haha it was UNBELIEVABLE haha this family is awesome. Sister garza is still warming up to this ward :(( but we got her to sit with us in relief society instead of her car so that's good!!

Haha okay I'm sorry I should probably  actually include some real missionary work🀭 okay this week was kinda a rough one. We had so many lessons have to be rescheduled because of family or health emergency :(( it was so sad that so many had some rough weeks this week. So lots of praying for these families went on. We did end up meeting some new people this week. We will have to see if they decide they need us haha but during the Strom a man's garbage cans were floating down the road so we helped him grab them and take them up. And he was super appreciative and said he would be happy to hear more. We went to visit and he said his wife was catholic and now they both practice Hinduism which was really cool to talk about and learn about. But that he wouldn't be interested haha so bummer but than we were walking away and his neighbor was out and was really interested in some prayers!! He seemed like he needed some silent prayers. So we will see if he ever shoots us a call. But that sadly was the most exciting part of the work haha

OH WAIT we did have a lesson with letty and Thomas (they are the favorite children NO CAP) we discussed small parts of the apostasy nd prophets and their roles as volunteers called of god. We explained that is what our bishop does too. Letty was liking that, seemed like this week made a lot of sense to her. She also talked to us about school starting Today so we are SO excited to see how it all goes :)) Thomas was awesome this week he had some awesome comments about Jesus christ and his love and his help in struggling times. There was also a Thomas who was called a bishop and we discussed him and he LOVED talking about how Thomas was faithful in his calling just like we are. THOMAS IS THE BEST!! Literally the light of my life.

OHH dang wait okay one more really awesome lesson. So we have the wonderful Hart girlπŸ’Ÿ quick background. Their mom was a convert about 3 years ago and has decided that she wants her daughters kyrie (11) koko (9) to have their own testimony of this church and than be baptized. They have asked their dad though, but because of the divorce he has time to talk the girls out of it and he never says no but makes them think the church is all scary and bad and so we are starting to go through the lessons again to help sister hard and her kids in learning this gospel.

Okah miracle lesson time for kyrie and koko, we were headed to visit sister hart because she was alone and the girls were with their dad. So we were just gonna stop by and see her and than all of a sudden KOKO ANSWERS THE DOOR!!! So we decided to talk and see them and than kyrie told us she had some questions and so we answered them. And it was a lot haha bless sister Hart's hearts!! She is adorable haha and way too patient haha I need some of her patience. She listened calmly and quietly as koko just went crazy with deep doctorine questions haha so we infact have our work cut out for us with koko πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Okay sorry long email pt. 16395 I don't even know at this point haha but I am happy and healthy and having a blast here in Towne lake still!! I do ask for an unspoken prayer request for the towne lake ward❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 thank you guys πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

The one where Sister Wankier LEARNS SPANISH!!😱

 HIIII

What's up?? How is everyone!!

This week has been awesome kinda a blur but it went by faster than usual so πŸ€  can't complain!!

This week we had some more ministering calls with our district to keep building unity haha and they were hilarious!! I cant remember if i explained them last week haha whoops here it is again. We usually call one companionship and see how they are soing get to know them more and check up on if they need any help!! Sister Radford and I can't tell if our elders are funny or we were so tired after the days that we were getting loopy haha but they were an awesome way to end the night!! The most famous question asked was..
"If our nice dishes in America are called fine China what do those in China call their nice dishes?"
Lmk we still haven't found an answer yet haha

This week we has quite a few lessons lined up and I learned a ton in all of them. One of our lessons was a drop lesson.. haha kind a soft drop haha we love Sally she's been truly awesome and loves asking questions but has been taught 90% of the material and doesn't want to go to church or read the book of Mormon on her own or leave her house :(( we don't blame her she's had 3 strokes in one day😱😱 her body is healing!! She lives all alone with no kids and no family so we were some sunshine in her life and sadly we think that's all :(( we planted a seed πŸŒ±haha but this week I learned how we tell someone we can't keep coming back. It was really hard to not just cry when we were leaving. BUT good news to the sad story she doesn't know if she can make it to church but she does know she can try and be at some of the relief society events If we have any and she NEVER said that before so she has some kind of desire and we are just waiting for the day it all clicks for her :))

So this week I learned how to softly drop someone and than also how to INVITE SOMEONE TO BE BAPTIZED :))))) King Is awesome we were able to meet his secret gf of a month.. yesturday haha so it's a good thing we set the date a month and a half away haha AND she was super interested in the church too so we are expecting them this Thursday for a lesson and next Sunday for church :)) but we know king is so ready because Satan literally kept making it so we couldn't meet with him to ask him ALL week long!!! But jokes on Satan we finally got to talk to him and finish the gospel of jesus christ and Ask Him To Be Baptized!!! He said he will pray about it and let us know and so we are meeting with our ward this week to give them the rundown!!!! And get their help in a ton of fellowship to both!!

This week we also had some more culturally tradition meals from some of the members in our ward. We had traditional salads from China (a raw onion with peanut butter sause) Dinner from Nygeria (rice and goat meatballs) And dinner from El Sabador (potatoes and onions, Greek salad, and chicken still on the bone that looked like it was a chicken nugget)
To sum it all up haha my stomach has been in knots ALL WEEK but I was fed haha so I am eternally grateful I got to try something new!!!

The title for this week comes from a stake wide choir of missionaries singing in stake conference!!! We have a predominantly Spanish stake so we have an English session of stake conference and a Spanish session of stake conference. They pulled together our whole stake and asked us as full time missionaries, ward missionaries, ward mission leaders, service missionaries, pretty much you have a time of missionary anywhere you are gonna be there!!! And we are singing 3 songs.. 2 of them in Spanish HAHA.

You maybe be thinking, "Wait but Mads didn't you not want to learn any language.." Yes!! that would be correct I wanted English VERY badly haha but now I am called from my mission president to learn asl and now from my ward to learn spanish. I am GOING to come home trilingual JUST YOU WAIT!! at this point no holding back now. Haha me and sister radford have been spending 30 minutes a day practicing ASL and 30 minutes a day practicing Spanish. I now can knock on a door and say "Hello, we are missionaries for the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, we share messages about Jesus chrsit can we share a quick one with you?" In Spanish and the restoration lesson in ASL!!!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ kinda lit!!

Anyways haha that was kinda long again haha but it's been SUCH a good week!! I am healthy and happy and love this work with everything in me!! ♡♡♡♡♡

Aye anyone see that video also?? Do we do more we need advice haha let me know.

Anyways MUCH LOVE!! AND MANY THANKS!!
Y'ALL ROCK🀩🀩
